Drorit Valk - violin
Member of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra since 1992. Graduated from the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv. Served in the I.D.F. as an Army String Quartet member with an Outstanding Musician status. Soloist of recitals and concerts with orchestras in Israel and abroad (among others the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony, Haifa Symphony, Beer . Sheva Symphonietta). Participated in festivals (Abu Gosh, Kfar Blum, among others), radio programs and studio recordings. Winner of various competitions (first prize winner in the Music Academy, Clairmont, and chamber music competitions). Represented Israel in chamber music in the former Soviet Union (1991) and U.S.A (1992). Participates in various chamber music ensembles.
Amnon Valk - violin
Started playing the violin with his father, a member of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Chosen by violinist Yehudi Menuhin to study in his own School of Music, founded by him near London. Returned to Israel to serve in the I.D.F. in the Army String Quartet. Lived in the U.S.A. where he played, among others, in the Los - Angeles and Philadelphia Chamber Orchestras. Joined the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in 1987.
Elianna Lovenberg - viola
Graduated from the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv earning her Master's degree in the dual fields of violin and viola. She studied under Irena Svetlova and Gad Levertov. Elianna was a member of The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra from 1998 to 1999. Currently she holds the position of assistant principal violinist in The Israel Chamber Orchestra where she has also performed as soloist. In addition she is active in chamber music and teaching.
Yoram Alperin - cello
Commenced his studies of the cello at age seven in his native Romania. In 1960 he came to Israel and became a student of Prof. Uzi Wiezel. While a student at the Tel-Aviv Rubin Academy of Music, he was a repeat first prize winner of Sharett Foundation of the America- Israel Cultural Foundation. During his I.D.F. service played in The Army String Quartet. He joined the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in 1971. He has made solo appearances with the I.P.O. and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. He is a member of The Jerusalem String Trio, with whom he frequently performs in Israel and abroad.
