Since its founding in 2000, the Dafna String Quartet has received wide recognition and is a vibrant part of the Israeli music scene. The ensemble appears regularly throughout Israel and has appeared in both live and recorded performances. All four are versed in the classical literature of orchestral, chamber and solo repertoire.

The Dafna String Quartet started off as a group specializing in light one-hour concerts, performing various Classical and Romantic pieces. Consequently, upon request, the quartet began performing Classical chamber works on live radio concerts, in music festivals and in other various venues in Israel and abroad.

The quartet has recorded for Bayerischer Rundfunk.

Dafna String Quartet has performed with great pianists such as: Pnina Salzman, Alexander Korsantia, Yuja Wang, Tomer Lev.
